shareCG.com: First 3D content library to go web3D

 

ShareCG has the largest and fastest growing library of user provided Computer Graphics content on the web today. With thousands of community members the site has become ‘The place to visit’ for 3D models, materials, textures, tutorials and other resources used daily by CG professionals and beginners alike. The site also provides a showcase for animators, CG artists, and Game Designers to display their work to prospective accounts and get critical feedback from their peers. 

Using the 3DXplorer platform, the development team behind shareCG.com is now opening a new section called vworlds (as Virtual Worlds) where you can walk into a 3D scene in realtime, visualize through different angles, get close to different objects, manipulate some of the objects, and more generally do whatever you do inside any 3DXplorer scene. Links to some artworks and paintings take you to the download page for those objects. Content providers can thus invite visitors into their creations and show their talent not only through still images but in an interactive 3D immersive mode. The library is opening now, and contributors are welcome to upload their content. Stay tuned and follow this exciting experience.
